Our highly skilled and knowledgeable staff deliver a rigorous and engaging curriculum. Our environments are carefully planned in order to provoke learning, interest, creativity and thought. Our teachers provide support and challenge and stimulate learning in a variety of ways.
Throughout Key Stage 1 we combine direct instruction from teachers with a play-based approach to learning. The ‘Prime Areas’ of learning; Personal, Social and Emotional, Communication and Language, Physical Development are prioritised alongside core areas of early reading, writing and Mathematics. Ensuring students are secure in these areas is critical to their future achievement and for supporting their transition to a more formalised learning approach from Year 3 upwards.
Across Key Stages 1 and 2 English, maths, science, computing, music, PSHE, wellbeing, languages, humanities, art & design and PE/swimming are taught every week. We are ambitious for our students and encourage them to aim high, and take advantage of as many opportunities and experiences as possible.
