Today, our school was alive with energy and excitement as we celebrated House Day 2024! From the youngest members of our school community in the Primary Campus to our Senior students in the Secondary Campus, everyone joined in the fun wearing their House colours and ready to engage in a day full of teamwork, creativity, and House spirit.
At the Primary campus, the day’s theme—celebrating our uniqueness and connection; was brought to life through a variety of exciting activities. Students from Years 2 to 6 gathered in their House groups to participate in fun challenges, team-building games, and creative tasks that encouraged them to work together and embrace what makes each of them special.
The morning kicked off with a special House assembly where students learned about the importance of teamwork and celebrating their unique talents. Throughout the day, House groups came together for a range of activities, from team-building games to the fun and inspiring Secret Strength challenge, where each student shared a hidden talent or skill and added a personal touch to a House collage. The House Dance rehearsal brought even more energy to the day, as students worked on their dance routines, ready to perform in front of their peers later on.
One of the most heartwarming activities was Buddy Reading, where older students teamed up with younger ones to share stories and build connections across year groups. The day ended with a creative twist, as students worked together to design a recycled cardboard sculpture, showing off their artistic skills and teamwork.
For our Secondary students, House Day was all about friendly competition and showcasing their House pride through a series of exciting events. Throughout the day, Houses competed in a variety of challenges, from sports to creative tasks, all designed to strengthen House spirit and bring out the best in every student.
From football and volleyball matches to water-filled fun with Splash Mania, students demonstrated their athletic skills and their ability to work as a team. But it wasn’t all about sports; there were also creative challenges like Trailer Takeover and the Mars Rover task, where students used their problem-solving and innovation skills to tackle unique challenges.
A big thank you to our PTA volunteers for preparing fresh fruit snacks for our Secondary students this morning! These delicious snacks were enjoyed by everyone during the events, giving students a refreshing boost. Be sure to check out some photos of the fruit prep on the PTA's Instagram (@klass_pta)
One of the day’s highlights was the House Parade and Cheer Off, where each House showed off their creativity, enthusiasm, and House pride. The energy in the air was palpable as students cheered on their teammates and celebrated the spirit of unity and collaboration that House Day is all about.
House Day 2024 has been a day to remember, filled with laughter, teamwork, and an overwhelming sense of school spirit. It’s been amazing to see students of all ages come together, celebrate each other’s unique qualities, and build lasting connections across Houses and year groups.
A big thank you to all the staff, House leaders, and volunteers who helped make the day so special. And to our students; well done for embracing every activity with such enthusiasm and House pride!
We’re already looking forward to next year’s House Day, where we’ll continue to celebrate what makes us unique, while strengthening the bonds that unite us as one school community.
