KLASS Lions at Feeding Frenzy Invitational

Last weekend, ten of our top Alice Smith swimmers traveled to Bangkok Patana School to compete in the highly anticipated Feeding Frenzy Invitational Swim Meet. Held at Patana’s 50-meter pool, this jam-packed two-day event showcased the incredible grit, perseverance, and hard work of our swimmers during long and intense competition days.

9-10 Year Old Girls Shine Bright

The KLASS Lions made a remarkable showing, particularly in the U10 girls' category, where the team earned a first-place trophy with an impressive score of 280 points. Led by standout performances from Kimberly Bee and Zuhayra Adn Zulkifli, along with their talented teammates, the girls dominated their events and brought home exceptional results.

Individual Medalists

  • Kimberly Bee: 4 Golds, 3 Silvers, 1 Bronze
  • Zuhayra Adn Zulkifli: 2 Golds

Relay Team Success

  • U11 4x50M Medley Relay (Gold)
    • Swimmers: Kimberly Bee (Backstroke), Miranda Chiew (Breaststroke), Zuhayra Adn Zulkifli (Butterfly), Keina Kimura (Freestyle)
  • U11 4x50M Freestyle Relay (Gold)
    • Swimmers: Zuhayra Adn Zulkifli, Keina Kimura, Summer Van Ham, Kimberly Bee

Personal Best Performances Across the Board

Both boys and girls impressed with personal bests throughout the meet, reflecting their hard work and commitment to improvement. Notable mentions include:

  • Cristan Cheng: Shattered his 50M Breaststroke time by 7 seconds and 100M Breaststroke by an incredible 12 seconds.
  • Gerald Ho: Achieved personal best times in all seven of his individual events.

A Team to Watch

This year’s Feeding Frenzy Invitational proved to be a fantastic opportunity for our swimmers to challenge themselves and rise to the occasion. Every swimmer demonstrated the KLASS Lions’ spirit of determination and teamwork, and their achievements are a testament to their dedication and preparation.

Congratulations to all our swimmers for their outstanding performances, and a special thank you to our coaches, parents, and supporters who helped make this event a success! The future is bright for KLASS swimming!

 

11th Selangor Novice Swimming Meet

Last weekend, 17 determined KLASS swimmers took on the challenge of early mornings to participate in the 11th Selangor Novice Swimming Meet 2024. Competing on both Saturday and Sunday, our athletes displayed incredible perseverance, showcasing their hard work and dedication in every event.

Medal Winners

A special congratulations to Chloe Allen and Gareth Ho, who secured medals in this highly competitive meet.

Personal Best Performances

The majority of our swimmers achieved personal best times, underscoring their commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Isla Manning: Achieved personal bests in two events, including an impressive 50M Breaststroke with a time of 52.21, placing 17th out of nearly 200 swimmers.
  • Carla Kwan: Recorded personal bests in the 50M Breaststroke and 25M Backstroke, reflecting her steady progress and determination.

Celebrating Effort and Spirit

We are incredibly proud of all our swimmers who competed this weekend. Their unwavering spirit, determination, and commitment to improvement were evident in their performances. The lessons learned and experiences gained at this meet will undoubtedly contribute to their growth in the pool and beyond.
