KLASS Football Tournament "Passion, Play, and Penalties – Football Takes Centre Stage!"

On Saturday, 5th April, Alice Smith School was buzzing with energy as we hosted a vibrant football tournament, welcoming nearly 300 student-athletes from both Alice Smith and ISKL. It was a brilliant day filled with thrilling matches, team spirit, and unforgettable moments on the pitch.

Tournament Highlights:

• Our U9 Girls A and U9 Boys A teams brought home the gold, triumphing in hard-fought finals against ISKL A. A fantastic achievement and a reflection of their teamwork and determination!
   
• The U11 Girls A team demonstrated incredible resilience, pushing their final to one of the most intense penalty shootouts of the day. Though they narrowly missed the title, their bravery and composure under pressure were truly commendable.
   
• The U11 Boys B team proved to be the surprise package of the tournament. Making it all the way to the final, they delivered a standout performance against a strong ISKL A side, showcasing grit, skill, and growth throughout the day.
   

A Team Effort Behind the Scenes:

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated coaching team — Mr Atkinson, Mr McCarthy, Mr Ebsworth, Ms Yaasoda, Coach Afiff, Coach Firdaus, Mrs King, Coach CT, and Mr Smith — for guiding our students with passion and positivity.

We’re also incredibly grateful to our pitch marshals and helpers — Mrs Sloane, Mrs Purani, Mrs White, Mrs Farrel, and Mrs Smith — for ensuring everything ran seamlessly on the ground.

And a special thanks goes out to our security, facilities, maintenance, and cleaning teams, whose behind-the-scenes support played a vital role in the day’s success.

Lastly, thank you to all the parents for your encouragement and support. It was a proud day for the Alice Smith community — one that truly celebrated sport, sportsmanship, and school spirit!
